Journey-In has blended two simple and fun techniques
proven to help one meditate!

What is Meditation?  Meditation is nothing mysterious, it is simply relaxed, focused thought or I like to think of it as conscious daydreaming.  To meditate you do not have to be physically still.  In fact, for many, this just does not work!  By doing a simple rhythmic movement such as gardening, yoga, drumming, knitting, walking, or coloring, meditation can become an easy way to gently relax our physical self and allow us to calm our inner being.  Once we learn how to quiet our inner-self we can better connect with our inner voice, tap into our intuition, converse with God, or just ponder and reflect - gaining ideas or better understanding to whatever you are questioning.

Meditation is proven to produce physical benefits.  By consciously calming our physical self we immediately tell our body 'life is okay' and the chemicals which are triggered in our body by stress actually slow down!  By meditating daily we can reduce numerous stress related illnesses like heart disease, high blood pressure, fatigue, headaches, PMS, and even chronic pain.  We can even start to heal a body which has been worn down by constant stress.
AMAZING RESULTS CAN HAPPEN!

Coloring is one element of Journey-In.  Coloring is easy, fun, and relaxing - helping people ease into relaxation and meditation.  Research on Coloring Therapy has shown incredible results over the past decade.  We encourage you to search the internet & other resources on coloring therapy.

Coloring allows us to let go of the busyness of the day and quietly step into our incredible self!  Coloring can pull us into a state of mind where we can simply be.  Coloring creates an environment where we can choose to consciously 'daydream'.  While you color, a state of meditation is easier to attain because we relax our physical self and suspend our inner dialogue in the process.

The goal of mediation is to still the chatter in our mind and find the silence.  This does not happen in our usual busy days.  We need to learn how to find this quiet place within.  When we quiet the chatter in our mind and just be, we begin to open up to receive knowledge, understanding, healing, creativity, and peace.

How we speak to ourselves on the inside is also very important.  Much of our inner chatter is either mulling over past situations or self-doubting dialogue about the future - what if...  By stopping this negative chatter we begin to open ourselves up to new perspectives and inner peace.  We then have the ability to purposefully change our inner talk, thoughts, and vision which can rewire our mind for positive changes in our physical self.  Consciously choosing positive and constructive thoughts is the most powerful gift we can give ourselves.

Guided journaling pages are also included in Journey-In.  Journaling alone is a form of meditation for many.  (By helping us guide our thoughts in meditation we can mindfully focus on what is important.)  Journey-In provides space to write an intention or prayer before you begin each coloring design.  By placing a thought in your mind, you allow your mind to know where you want to go.  Numerous sources tell us we need to ask in order to receive.  However, many of us have not learned this skill to simply ask for what we want or need.  Journey-In guides you to write an intention to meditate upon while coloring.

Journal space is provided for insights, ideas, thoughts, or whatever comes to you during your coloring time.  Sometimes people get clear ideas, others may receive a few words or just flashes of thought, and some will have a feeling, while others may see pictures or symbols.  Don't dismiss anything.  What may seem insignificant maybe a huge insight to your prayer.  Write it down and keep coloring.  It is amazing how little ideas can expand when you allow your mind the freedom to wander.

In addition, Journey-In provides journal space for you to revisit your coloring meditation.  After a few days or weeks, go back and read what you wrote - focus into your design; find the peace inside and with calm slow breath notice what else may come into your mind.

Enjoy your Journey and always be grateful!!
